Well since you purchased it from GoDaddy, it is already parked. You will need to develop a WWW site or hire someone to do it. Once it is finished you will have to purchase hosting. Since you are already with GoDaddy, they also have some great hosting services. Once you get the hosting setup (associate your domain name with your hosting site (go daddy will help with that when you purchase)), post your files and your all set.

You need to obtain something called nameservers from your hosting company. These are usually printed somewhere in the control panel, or you could just contact them. Once you have those, you have to go to GoDaddy, click on My Account, click on the domain you want to manage, and then enter those nameservers (at least two) into the fields provided (usually in the middle of the page to the left).

Just an FYI-
DNS = Domain Name Servers
FTP = File Transfer Protocol (used to connect to your server and upload/download files)

Try to access your domain with your browser. Generally, if you get a rather generic page with ads, then the domain is parked. If you get no page but an error message from your browser it’s not parked.

No, there will not be any extra charges besides the one for the domain transfer.
