For https, there is a public and private key encryption. The public key is held by approved athenticators.

When a https request is done, a public key lookup is done with a the source of the public key. If the source of the public key is not listed in your computers list of public key providers, the web page will have a security issue.

You may need to update your windows to get the most current list of public key providers. You will also have to ask yourself “If I get this message, what do my customers get?”

You may want to get a public/private key pair that has been given to you by Verisign or another long term provider of these keys.

The general standard is that it takes a few days and a few faxes to get your identity verified by the companies that issue their blessing that your website is who you really are.

If you get a https page immediately, that means that they didn’t go through the process to identify your company as they should have.
