How do I link my Godaddy domain name straight to my Youtube site?

I own a Domain Name and want it to pull up my youtube page when a person goes to it since I don\’t have a website yet. Any ideas as to how to do this? Thanks!

  1. Place the following HTML redirect code between the and tags of your HTML code.

  2. At godaddy there is a tutorial on how to forward a domain. This is what you want. You can find it here http://help.godaddy.com/article/2227

When you are logged in you just follow the steps to “redirect’ your domain name to the url you want it to. Simple settings in your godaddy domain managment area.

  3. This is from the Godaddy tutorials. I just forwarded my domain to a facebook page and it works just fine.

    To Forward a Domain

    1. Log in to your Account Manager.
    2. In the My Products section, click Domain Manager.
    3. Use the checkbox(es) to select the domain name(s) you want to modify.
    4. Click Forward.
    5. Select Enable forwarding.
    6. In the Forward to field, enter the URL to which you want to forward your domain name(s).
    7. In the Redirect type area, select one of the following:

    301 Moved Permanently
Redirects to the site you specified in the Forward To field using a “301 Moved Permanently” HTTP response. The HTTP 301 response code tells user-agents (including search engines) that the location has permanently moved.
    302 Found (Temporary Redirect)
Redirects to the site you specified in the Forward To field using a “302 Found” HTTP response. The HTTP 302 response code tells user-agents (including search engines) that the location has temporarily moved.

    8. Click OK.

NOTE: Forwarded domains can take up to 24 hours to become active.

Also you may have to make a change to the A record. The directions are as listed below:

    Using the Forwarding IP Address

Here’s the Lowdown: For your domain to resolve to the forwarding address, the A Record must point to 64.202.189.170.

If your domain is currently on Parked nameservers, the A Record resolves to the correct IP Address automatically. If your domain is currently hosted on Hosting or Custom nameservers, you must update the A Record.
    To Update the A Record

    1. Log in to your Account Manager.
    2. In the My Products section, click Domain Manager.
    3. Click the domain name for which you want to access the Total DNS Control.
    4. In the Total DNS section, click Total DNS Control and MX Records.
    5. In the A Host area, click the Edit icon and complete the following:

    Host Name
    Type an @ symbol.
    Points to IP Address
    Type 64.202.189.170.
    TTL
    Select 1 Hour.

    6. Click OK.
