Are there sites that have free domain registration?

I\’m looking for a good and faithful site that gives free domain registration. Also, do you need a server for a domain, or could you get a domain and use it on blog sites (such as WordPress)? If you need web hosting, are there sites that have that for free as well?

  1. blamay22000 Says:

Nope. You can find free subdomains but not free domains.

  2. I believe that you have to purchase a domain name.

If you would like to purchase domain name, you can do so from a website such as Yahoo! Domains or GoDaddy.

    http://Domains.Yahoo.com

    http://GoDaddy.com

If you a website, you may be able to forward your domain to that website or you may even be able to configure your domain name’s DNS settings to point to your website.

However, if you would like to point your domain to a WordPress.com blog, you have to purchase an upgrade.

If you are looking for free web hosting, perhaps you should try using FreeHostia or AwardSpace.

Good luck and I hope I helped you!

  3. 1. Do you need a server for a domain = No, you don’t need a server for a domain, i mean if once you already have a server, you can host many domains in one server if your server supports add-on domains.

    2. could you get a domain and use it on blog sites (such as WordPress)? = To use blog sites such as wordpress, you need to have a domain name and a web server. You can get free domain name (google it)

    3. If you need web hosting, are there sites that have that for free as well? = Yes, there are some free webhosting, but i would go for paid web hosting because of the quality. If you plan to install wordpress, i recommend to have reliable webhost, because if you blog for a long term, it is not really good idea for free webhost because they are mostly making you happy the first weeks, after that, they will have database maintenance, server upgrades problems, your account is suspended, etc etc.

  4. The best domain name registration,
My sister visit this site http://www.xnynz.com/,
She got the best methods for domain name registration, bulk registration, domain name transfer and domain name Appraisals at a very very low cost itself!!!!!

  5. You can now book a domain name free of cost when you register for web hosting. I’d recommend you to try Fatcow or iPage. Check here for the free domain registration: http://www.webhostingbreak.com/free-domain-name/

  6. As you may know a domain name is just a name, not a real website/weblog. If you are going to create your blog website: 1- Buy a domain name. A domain name is a name you want to call your website (ex: http://www.yahoo.com). To get a domain name, you have to pay an annual fee to a registrar for the right to use that name. 2- Buy a web hosting service to provide your online space and enable you to get your blog online at your purchased domain name.

If you’re going to start your blog at your own domain with different pages, you need a web host providing wordpress.

    Take a look at:
